Studio Policy

TUITION

(Tuition is subject to change.)

There will be an additional charge for any classes taken after 6 hours weekly.

* $12.00 REGISTRATION FEE PER STUDENT

*Most classes meet once a week and are subject to change upon notification. Classes will be consolidated and/or added to the schedule if needed. Each class must have 5 students to start.

Private and Semi-private classes available.

STUDIO POLICIES

REGISTRATION

Formal registration will be taken in August, January, and June of each year for new and prior students.

 

Class registration form and fee must be given to the studio prior to the first class.

 

If a beginning class is not available at the time, your name will be put on a waiting list and you will be notified when the next class will begin.

 

PLACEMENT OF STUDENTS

Placement of students is done according to training, age, and ability or effort, which guarantees the steady progress of each class and the self-confidence of the students.

 

Advancement is not automatic, this is accomplished through hard work and the discretion of the instructor.

 

PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES

Private and Semi-private classes are available and may be scheduled through the Studio Office.

 

OBSERVATION

Observation is the FIRST lesson of the following months: November, March and May.

 

ABSENTEEISM

There is no refund or credit for classes missed.

 

All absenteeism must be called into the studio at least one hour before class time, in order to receive make-up work. Make-up time will be given when the student returns to class.

 

Missed classes are to be made up within three (3) weeks after returning to class and are the student’s responsibility. No financial adjustments for missed classes.

 

Note: All private or semi-private classes missed, must give 24 hr

notice or you will be charged for the classes.

 

When vacations or scheduled absences are taken, the Studio must be notified in advance. This is so make-up work can be scheduled.

 

TUITION POLICY

Two months tuition plus registration fee is due upon registering. Tuition is due by the first lesson of each month. Tuition received after the 1st lesson of each month will be charged a $10.00 late fee.

 

All payments are to be placed in the Tuition Box located on the wall in the Studio. Only cash payments must be in an envelope with student’s name on envelope. Please DO NOT fold checks.

 

NOTE: Payment is due one month in advance on the first lesson of each month. Tuition is always paid one month ahead.

No refunds or credits will be given on Registration fees. There will be no refunds on tuition after classes have started. Students who withdraw before the end of the month will receive a tuition credit , good for one year from date of payment.

 

Make all checks payable to: Neylon Dance Studio.

 

There will be a $20.00 charge on all NSF checks.

 

DRESS CODE

Ballet Classes-Black short sleeve leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.  No skirts allowed.

 

Combination Classes-Same as above, plus tap shoes.

 

Tap or Jazz Classes-Any plain colored leotard and tights combination and jazz or tap shoes, as needed.

 

[Shiny tights are not allowed.]

 

Zumba or Hip Hop –Sweats/shorts and tennis shoes.

 

NOTE: Girls and women must tie their hair back off the neck when taking classes.  Hair must be in a bun during ballet and/or pointe class.  No jewelry or nail polish is allowed in class.  Required class dress must be worn at all times.  No shirts, shorts, or skirts allowed in all studio classes.

 

All students must wear cover up when going to and from the studio.

 

Please contact the studio for boys class attire or any questions pertaining to the Studio dress code.

 

ALL STUDENTS must have their first and last name in dancewear and shoes.

 

NEYLON DANCE STUDIO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ARTICLES.

 

FACILITIES

We offer a total professional facility at Neylon Dance Studio, with sprung hardwood floor, mirrored walls and double level barres.  All enhanced by a qualified staff, which gives each student a total dance experience.

 

Students are not permitted in the dance room unless an instructor is present.

 

SNOW POLICY

In the event of inclement weather, notification will come from the studio.

 

DANCE COMPETITIONS

Students wishing to take part in Dance Competitions representing the Studio, must be currently enrolled in Ballet, Tap and Jazz in order to be a participant.
